East Midlands Business Crime Forum

East Midlands Regional Business Crime Forum logoThe East Midlands Regional Business Crime Forum was established in March 2006.

The aim of the forum is to 'Reduce Business Related Crime' by:

  • Promoting business crime reduction and prevention for the benefit of business in the East Midlands area in conjunction with the Police, EMDA and other organisations, entities or public bodies with whom the Forum may liaise from time to time.
  • Developing strategies to protect business in the East Midlands and commercial properties occupied by them from criminal activities.
  • Initiating, organising and delivering projects to reduce business crime levels in the East Midlands area.
  • Encouraging greater business participation in the prevention and solution of business crime in the area of the East Midlands.

The forum is chaired by Jean Mountain  (of The Supreme Rubber Stamp Company) with Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce providing secretariat services.

The forum is made up mainly of regional representatives from the business sector supported by GOEM and police forces within the region, as well as local businessmen and practitioners:
