The aim of the East Midlands Business Crime Forum is to help "Reduce Business Related Crime" by:

  • Promoting business crime prevention
  • Developing strategies to protect business in the East Midlands and commercial properties occupied by them from criminal activities 
  •  Encouraging greater business participation in the prevention and solution of business crime in the area of the East Midlands

The forum which is made up mainly of regional representatives from the business sector supported by GOEM and police forces within the region, as well as local businessmen and practitioners has produced the "Essential Handbook for East Midlands businesses"

The booklet has been designed to provide a comprehensive source of advice for businesses wishing to protect themselves against crime.

There are sections on Insurance, business continuity and fraud as well as case studies and advice on reporting crime.
