East Midlands Business Crime Conference 2007
“Crime pays – and so do we”
28 February 2007
“Crime pays – and so do we”, the inaugural conference of the East Midlands Business Crime Forum, was held on Wednesday, 28 February 2007 at The Hilton Hotel, East Midlands Airport.
The East Midlands Business Crime Forum was founded in 2006 with the clearest of aims – to reduce the incidence and impact of crime against business.
Jane Todd, Regional Director of Government Office for the East Midlands speaking at the conference delivered the national and regional perspective on business crime.
The aim of this conference was to stimulate a dialogue between business and those responsible for setting local policing priorities. The goal is to achieve a greater understanding of the problems facing business in the region and a commitment to addressing those problems for the social, economic and environmental benefit of the East Midlands and all its citizens.
This conference brought together representatives from the police forces and police authorities, Community Safety Officers, local authorities, Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships, national and regional government, and the business community.
